The Elysian Whip (Japanese: 天空のムチ Heavenly Whip) is a class change item introduced in Fire Emblem: The Binding Blade. It is the class change item specifically for the use of base flying classes, specifically the Pegasus Knight and Wyvern Rider; in this respect, it effectively replaces the Skydrake Whip of the early Archanean games. In The Binding Blade and Fire Emblem: The Blazing Blade, using an Elysian whip on a member of either class will promote them to Falcoknight and Wyvern Lord respectively, and in The Sacred Stones it also gives both classes the option to promote to Wyvern Knight.
The Elysian Whip is also present in the two Nintendo DS remakes, Fire Emblem: Shadow Dragon and New Mystery of the Emblem, as an addition new to the remakes. It once again promotes Pegasus Knights to Falcoknight, whereas using a Master Seal—the game's primary and only other class change item—will instead promote them to Dracoknight, the original promoted form of the Pegasus Knight. Elysian Whips are significantly rarer than Master Seals, and in Shadow Dragon they are available only through the now-defunct online shop.
