The Pegasus Warrior (Japanese: 天馬武者 Pegasus Warrior) is a flying, pegasus-mounted class debuting in Fire Emblem Fates. It is identical in function to the Pegasus Knight class of previous entries in the Fire Emblem series, as a basic class which exclusively wields naginata, the Hoshidan equivalent of lances. Unlike Pegasus Knights, however, Pegasus Warriors may be either male or female.
Much like the class' predecessor, Pegasus Warriors are known for their impressive speed and resistance, making them highly effective at neutralising magical threats. However, their low HP and defence leaves them vulnerable when faced against strong physical units such as Fighters, and they also fall easily to bows, yumi, and wind magic, as is common to all flying units. Despite these initial difficulties, however, they can grow to become some of the player's most useful units.
Pegasus Warriors may promote to either Falcon Warriors, or Golden Kite Warriors.
