Horseman (ホースメン Horsemen) is a advanced bow- and sword-wielding mounted class present only in the Archanea games, first appearing in Template:FEARHT. Other games feature identical classes under different names: Nomadic Troopers in the Elibe duology, Rangers in The Sacred Stones and Bow Knights in Awakening.
In Template:FEARHT and Template:FEMN, Horsemen were only capable of wielding bows; swords were added in the remakes of those games. This addition gives them the ability to attack adjacent units; in the original games, they were locked to attacking from a distance.
In Template:FEARHT, Horsemen are a basic class and are not associated with a class change family. Monshou no Nazo changed this by making them the promoted form of Hunters, which carried on into both remakes; additionally, in Monshou no Nazo they become Hunters when dismounted.
