Not to be confused with light magic.

White magic (Japanese: 白魔法 White magic) is a weapon type in the Fire Emblem series appearing in Fire Emblem Gaiden, its remake Fire Emblem Echoes: Shadows of Valentia, and Fire Emblem: Three Houses. In Gaiden and Shadows of Valentia, it comprises the game's support spells; it is generally analogous to staves in other games in the series. Along with black magic, white magic makes up the broader magic weapon type in the original NES release, but it is split from it in the remake. In Three Houses, white magic is tied to the Faith skill level, and includes some offensive spells in addition to healing and supportive magic. Offensive white magic spells in Three Houses typically appear in other games as light magic, and supportive spells as staves. In the help texts of white magic spells in Three Houses, they are referred to as "light magic", but most of the rest of menus say "white magic".
