Mirabilis was initially mentioned twice in [[Dreaming Reality|chapter&nbsp;6 of Book IV]]; she was been mentioned as potentially being able to help the [[Order of Heroes]] to reach [[Dökkálfheimr]]. She made her first physical appearance [[Steeped in Twilight|the following chapter]], where the Order along with [[Veronica]] encountered her as she was daydreaming; after later implying a shared history with [[Sharena]], she eventually used her power to send the Order to Dökkálfheimr as Veronica held off attackers. Her eventual playability implies she'll have a continuing role throughout the remainder of Book IV.
 
There are three different variations of Mirabilis available to ''Heroes''.  The normal variation of Mirabilis became playable in the [[Wallowing in Love]] update, and became available for summoning by players on June 5, 2020; this variation of Mirabilis is the twelfth Mythic Hero, and as such is only available as a focus unit, and is not part of the general summoning pool.  A winter variation of Mirabilis was made available on December 16, 2021 as part of the summoning event surrounding the launch of the [[Winter Dreamland]] update. A spring variation of Mirabilis was added on March 6, 2024, and was first available to summon from then to February 6, 2024.
