The Lifesphere (Japanese: 命のオーブ Life Orb), later known as Gules (Japanese: 緋炎 Red Flame) in the era of Ylisse,[1] is an item that appears in the Fire Emblem series.
Appearing only in games set on Archanea, the Lifesphere restores its holder's HP at the beginning of every turn, though the amount recovered differs between games. In Fire Emblem: Mystery of the Emblem, its holder will recover all HP, but in its remake, New Mystery of the Emblem, this is reduced to 20 HP.
At some time after the Schism and the breakage of the Fire Emblem, the Lifesphere—now called Gules—entered the possession of Regna Ferox, and was safeguarded by the West-Khans for centuries. Gules is given to the party by Flavia, herself having been given it by Basilio, at the end of Chapter 18.
