Hexlock Shield

The Hexlock Shield (Japanese: 魔封じの盾 Magic Sealing Shield) is an accessory item in the shield category of equipment exclusive to Fire Emblem Gaiden and its remake, Echoes: Shadows of Valentia. In Gaiden, the Hexlock Shield, while equipped, serves to reduce the accuracy of magic attacks against the holder to 10%; Echoes instead has the Hexlock Shield boost the holder's Resistance by 7 points while equipped, allows it to take half damage against enemy black magic spells, and allows its holder to learn a skill that allows a further reduction in magical damage taken by an additional half.
In Shadows of Valentia, the Hexlock Shield's effect of halving incoming magic damage can stack with the Dread Fighter's Apotrope skill, resulting in a total of 75% reduction in incoming magic damage.
