Formshift (Japanese: 王者 King) is a combat skill which is exclusive to Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn. Exclusively used by the kings and queens of the laguz tribes, it allows these characters to completely ignore the effects of their transform gauge and allows them to transform or revert from their animal form at any time, without any stat penalty or gauge decay. Royal laguz units still enter chapters untransformed, but transforming through this skill does not count as an action, and the unit is free to move, enter combat or use items and skills. It replaces the Laguz Band item of Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance, which performed the same function.
