Project Classes is a project that deals with the various [[:Category:Classes|classes]] that appear in the ''Fire Emblem'' series.

==Important stuff==
* '''Images for FE10-only classes:''' Who has any suggestions about these? For the classes that appear in FE9 only or first in FE9, we've been getting them from the [http://www.nintendo.co.jp/fe/fe_museum/index.html Fire Emblem Museum]. Unfortunately, it doesn't cover Radiant Dawn, so we are in trouble here.

[[Fire Emblem Wiki:Project Classes/Wanted Pages|Wanted Pages]]<br>
A list of known wanted class pages.

==Structure of the articles==
===Introduction===
The first paragraph should be about a few basic aspects of the class. The name of the class, its Japanese name, both written in Japanese and in English letters, the weapon it uses, and the games that they appear in.

The next paragraphs will vary depending on the class, but here are some things to write about:
* Details about when the class has appeared
* What weapons they can use in different games
* Their class change options, if any
* If they attack from close or far range, then state so and say if they can be useful attackers/defenders, or if they can/cannot be placed in the front line safely, etc.
* Their typical stats. "This class typically has high speed but low attack."
* Their skills, either inherent (like [[Great Shield]]) or learned from an Occult scroll, in FE9 (like [[Aether]])

===Infobox===
Use [[Template:Class Infobox]].
* '''Image''': Use a generic portrait if it exists, preferably the most recent one. For classes for which no generic portrait exists, such as the [[Journeyman]] class, use a battle sprite.
* '''Flavor text''': Use the flavor text from the most recent game. This can be found usually in the class introductions; if there is none, then too bad...
* '''Weapons''': List the weapons that this class can use. If it varies, then list all of them from the different games with hover templates describing which games it can use whatever weapons in. For example, on the [[Mage]] article:<br>
<pre><nowiki>{{hover|[[Tome (magic)|Tome]]|FE1-3, FE11-12}} / {{hover|[[Fire (magic)|Fire]], [[Thunder (magic)|Thunder]], and [[Wind (magic)|Wind]]|FE4-5, FE9}} / {{hover|[[Anima (magic)|Anima]]|FE6-8}}</nowiki>
</pre>
makes<br>
{{hover|[[Tome (magic)|Tome]]|FE1-3, FE11-12}} / {{hover|[[Fire (magic)|Fire]], [[Thunder (magic)|Thunder]], and [[Wind (magic)|Wind]]|FE4-5, FE9}} / {{hover|[[Anima (magic)|Anima]]|FE6-8}}
* '''Skills''': List any skills the class has, such as Shove or Canto. If it varies, then again, use hover templates.

===Stats===
|templates=
Use templates [[Template:BaseStats]] and [[Template:MaxStats]]. The only difference is that Template:BaseStats includes weight, which is only used in ''Path of Radiance'' and ''Radiant Dawn''. If the class doesn't appear in either of those games, use Template:MaxStats for the base stats as well.
* {{t|Class Infobox}}: Infobox for classes
* {{t|Project Classes}}: Placed at the bottom of the class page.

===Class change===
Also known as promotion. Different games have different methods and branches; games should be grouped according to the progression system they use.

There are five different templates for this section:
*[[Template:Class Change 1]]: This is for unique classes that do not promote, such as [[lord]]s in the Archanea games or [[Thief|thieves]] in ''The Binding Blade''.<br>
<pre>
{{Class Change 1
|sprite=[[File:bs_fe(game number)_(character name)_(class)_(weapon).png]]
|class=
}}
</pre>

EXAMPLE:
{{Class Change 1
|sprite=[[File:bs_fe12_feena_dancer_sword.png]]
|class=Dancer
}}

*[[Template:Class Change 2]]: The most common promotion system; classes that promote only once go here, like [[troubadour]]s in the Elibe games.<br>
<pre>
{{Class Change 2
|sprite1=[[File:bs_fe(game number)_(character name)_(class)_(weapon).png]]
|basic class=
|promotion method=
|sprite 2=[[File:bs_fe(game number)_(character name)_(class)_(weapon).png]]
|promoted class=
}}
</pre>

EXAMPLE:
{{Class Change 2
|sprite1=[[File:bs_fe06_sue_nomad_bow.png]]
|basic class=Nomad
|promotion method=Using an Orion's Bolt after reaching Level 10.
|sprite2=<choose><option>[[File:Bs_fe06_sue_nomadic_trooper_bow.png]]</option><option>[[File:bs_fe06_sue_nomadic_trooper_sword.png]]</option></choose>
|promoted class=Nomadic Trooper
}}
<br>
*[[Template:Class Change 3]]: Seen in ''Gaiden'', {{hover|''The Sacred Stones''|Trainee units}} and ''Radiant Dawn'', classes here promote twice.<br>
<pre>
{{Class Change 3
|sprite1=[[File:bs_fe(game number)_(character name)_(class)_(weapon).png]]
|basic class=
|promotion method 1=
|sprite2=[[File:bs_fe(game number)_(character name)_(class)_(weapon).png]]
|promoted class 1=
|promotion method 2=
|sprite3=[[File:bs_fe(game number)_(character name)_(class)_(weapon).png]]
|promoted class 2=
}}
</pre>
<br>
EXAMPLE:
{{Class Change 3
|sprite1=
|basic class=Myrmidon
|promotion method 1=Using a Master Seal after reaching Level 10, or reaching Level 21.
|sprite2=
|promoted class 1=Swordmaster
|promotion method 2=Using a Master Crown after reaching Level 10, or reaching Level 21.
|sprite3=
|promoted class 2=Trueblade
}}
<br>
*[[Template:Class Change 4]]: Only seen in ''Gaiden'', in which some units can promote three times.<br>
<pre>
{{Class Change 4
|sprite1=[[File:bs_fe(game number)_(character name)_(class)_(weapon).png]]
|trainee class=
|promotion method 1=
|sprite2=[[File:bs_fe(game number)_(character name)_(class)_(weapon).png]]
|basic class=
|promotion method 2=
|sprite3=[[File:bs_fe(game number)_(character name)_(class)_(weapon).png]]
|promoted class 1=
|promotion method 3=
|sprite4=[[File:bs_fe(game number)_(character name)_(class)_(weapon).png]]
|promoted class 2=
}}
</pre>

EXAMPLE:
{{Class Change 4
|sprite1=[[File:bs_fe02_villager_sword.png]]
|trainee class=Villager
|promotion method 1=After reaching Level 3, at any [[Mila Shrine]].
|sprite2=[[File:bs_fe02_archer_bow.png]]

<br>
*[[Template:Class Change Branched]]: For classes present in ''The Sacred Stones'' and ''Seisen no Keifu''; some basic classes have two options when promoted.
<pre>
{{Class Change Branched
|sprite1=[[File:bs_fe(game number)_(character name)_(class)_(weapon).png]]
|basic class=
|promotion method=
|sprite2=[[File:bs_fe(game number)_(character name)_(class)_(weapon).png]]

|condition=The promoted class is predetermined for the characters (for Seisen no Keifu) OR The player can freely choose (for The Sacred Stones)
|sprite3=[[File:bs_fe(game number)_(character name)_(class)_(weapon).png]]
|promoted class 2=
}}
</pre>
EXAMPLE:
{{Class Change Branched

*[[Template:Class Change Converged]]: For some promoted classes, two classes can become one class. Only use this template on the page of the promoted class.
<pre>
{{Class Change Converged
