Apotrope (Japanese: 破邪 Break Evil) is a skill which debuted in Fire Emblem Echoes: Shadows of Valentia. A passive skill linked to the Dread Fighter class, Apotrope allows its user to take half damage against an enemy wielding black magic.
Apotrope's effect of halving incoming magic damage can stack with the Hexlock Shield, resulting in a total of 75% reduction in incoming magic damage.
