'''Clair''' (Japanese: {{hl|クレア|Kurea}} ''Clea'') is a [[Pegasus Knight]] in the service of the kingdom of [[Zofia]], a member of the resistance army against General [[Desaix]], and the sister of former resistance leader [[Clive]].

Clair had been captured by Desaix's forces and imprisoned in the [[Southern Outpost]]. She was released when [[Alm]]'s band stormed the fortress, and she subsequently joined Alm's army.

Clair is playable as a [[SpotPass]] character, released in the ''Gaiden'' character set. Along with [[Innes]] of {{title|The Sacred Stones}} and [[Ayra]] of {{title|Genealogy of the Holy War}}, Clair was one of the first three characters to be revealed to a "returning character" on March 14th, 2012, in a video released by Nintendo on the Wii's Nintendo Channel service which which they later also placed on the official Japanese website for {{title|Awakening}}. Clair is well-intentioned and can be friendly toward others. She adores her brother [[Clive]], and manages to befriend [[Delthea]] in their support conversations. She feels guilty about how she treated Gray and addresses it in their A support, where she explains that her lashing-out at him was born from jealousy over Alm's closeness to [[Celica]].<ref>{{cite|I merely wanted to apologize for taking out my frustrations on you. Clair wants to be loved and to belong. Many of her actions are motivated by this desire, from how she changes her behavior to appeal to others, to the decisions she has made throughout her life. For instance, she joined the Knights of Zofia because Clive and [[Fernand]] did so before her, and she did not want to be excluded.<ref>{{cite|When Clive joined the Knights of Zofia, Fernand joined as well. * In the game manual for {{FE2}}, Clair's official artwork depicts her as having red hair. In Fire Emblem: The Complete, however, her character art has blue hair, matching her in-game face sprite. Her appearance in {{title|Awakening}} gives her red hair again, as it uses her manual artwork for her portrait. {{title|Echoes: Shadows of Valentia}} changes her hair color yet again, this time making her blond, a departure from her previously red or blue hair.
