Strategy

This section details unofficial strategies that may help with completion of the chapter. This may not work for everybody.

In Gaiden, this map is a bit more dangerous than the previous one. As usual, the victory condition is to rout the enemy. It is recommended to have the villagers hold back on tree tiles, and move Alm closer to the middle of the map, as he starts a bit far away. Let the enemies come to the player units, and kill the archer first, though this may prove to be difficult, as more likely than not, they will end their turn on a tree tile, boosting their avoid.

After the archer is killed, and if all the player units are in good condition, push forward and fight the approaching thieves. Any units that are in danger should retreat towards the small fort in the bottom left of the map. It is unlikely that they will be there long enough to restore HP, but if the fight somehow draws on long enough having units healed is useful.

At the very least, Alm should always be in capable condition for this fight due to his stats, so continue to push with Alm and any other units that have not been weakened and kill the rest of the bandits. Due to the number of enemies it is highly recommended to keep player units on the tree tiles.

In Echoes, you start out only able to attack with Alm, Lukas, and Kliff. On turn 1, move Alm left four spaces and up one to weaken the Archer, and move Lukas up three and left one to finish him off. You want to try to get Lukas to level 7 by the end of the Deliverance HQ, in the hopes of promoting him to Knight by the end of the chapter. Move Kliff up three and left one to wound the first Brigand. Finish the turn by moving Tobin up three, Faye up two, and Gray up three and right one. The enemies will respond by attacking Alm and Kliff.

On turn 2, move Alm left one and up one to finish off his Brigand. Move Kliff left two and up one and have him eat his Bread. Move Gray up one and have him wound a Brigand, and have Lukas finish him off. Move Faye up three and left one and have her attack another Brigand, leveling her up. Faye needs to pick up a point of Speed to start doubling the enemy Brigands. Finally, move Tobin up three. The enemy retaliates by attacking Kliff, Gray, and Faye.

On turn 3, have Alm attack the guy who attacked Kliff and have Kliff finish him off and level up. Like Faye, Kliff needs a point of Speed to start doubling people. Afterwards, have Lukas, Tobin, and Faye each finish off one Brigand; this levels Lukas and Tobin up, and allows Tobin to promote at the Thieves' Shrine. This leaves just the Brigand on the Supplies up north.

On turn 4, move Alm onto a forest tile in the last Brigand's attack range. Move Kliff right next to Alm and have everyone else approach. The last Brigand will attack Alm on his turn. If Alm gets a critical hit, you can 4-turn this map; however, he only has a 13.51% chance of doing so. If he doesn't get a critical hit, weaken the Brigand with one of your other units and finish him with Kliff.
