Appearance(s)

(Japanese: バルジャン, Valjean) is a character introduced in, and currently exclusive to, the Fire Emblem Cipher trading card game. Valjean is the sixth original character introduced into the Cipher trading card game. One of his first two cards is of Jugdrali allegiance (the other card in question is colorless, although also positioned in the Jugdrali-themed portion of the set), and as the Jugdrali cards in his debut set are themed to Thracia 776, is likely to hail from the timeframe and regions of Jugdral that game takes place in.

As Valjean was introduced to Cipher after the release of the Cipher Companions downloadable content for Fire Emblem Echoes: Shadows of Valentia, Valjean does not appear in that DLC, and as such has yet to appear in a video game in the Fire Emblem series, mainline or otherwise.

Role

Valjean's portrait in the Fire Emblem Cipher column

Like the other characters original to Cipher, Valjean participates in the Cipher column of the Japanese official site. As the sixth of the game's mascots, he has not been around since the start, his first appearance on the official site is in the 31st column, appearing shortly after fellow debutant Alice. His first appearance in the Cipher TCG as a card is in series ten, Crossroads.
