The children see some knights in the nearby forest and go to investigate. Slayde, leading the group of knights, sees the children approach; he initially insists that the children and the other residents of Ram village give them lodging and food, though he later notices [[Celica]]'s presence, and takes action to make up for his botched assassination by attacking them. [[Mycen]] arrives and drives off Slayde. This incident causes Celica to leave Ram.
