Oifey is a prepromoted paladin that joins in chapter 6, due to his high bases and prepromoted status Oifey is often considered a Jagen type unit. Oifey will start out as your strongest unit due to his bases, he has access to an excellent class, he has a high sword and lance rank, he comes with Follow-Up and Critical, two very strong skills and not even his growths are bad by Genealogy of the Holy War standards. His only real flaw at base is his weak weaponry, though he can quickly buy better weapons and he can still get some kills through the critical skill. However, Oifey will have a hard time keeping up with the kids of gen 2 due to him not being able to inherit items, wield Holy weapons and his comparatively low growths. Another aspect worth noting is how Oifey won't be able to contribute much in the first 2 chapters on faster playthroughs as you'll need to give every single drop of EXP to Seliph in order to promote him as quickly as possible, lowering Oifey's overall usefulness. This isn't to say that Oifey is bad and he will likely still find more use than some of the gen 2 kids due to his excellent high movement class, high availability and mostly low enemy quality. Not to mention how he will likely be among your strongest units if the player is using substitutes. Overall, Oifey is a very strong unit that doesn't compare to some of the stronger characters of gen 2, but still manages to find plenty of use through the entirety of it despite his seemingly low potential.

Oifey is a prepromoted Paladin that joins in Chapter 6. Oifey is the strongest unit when he joins due to his bases, excellent class, high sword and lance levels, and powerful Follow-Up and Critical skills. His only real flaw at base is his weak weaponry, though he can quickly buy better weapons and he can still get some kills through Critical. However, Oifey will have a hard time keeping up with the kids of generation 2 as he cannot wield Holy weapons, and his growths are worse than theirs. Another aspect worth noting is how Oifey will not be able to contribute much in the first two chapters on faster playthroughs, where Seliph is the only unit to enter combat in order to maximize his experience gain and promote him as quickly as possible, lowering Oifey's overall usefulness. He will still remain solid in the long term, but not as strong as he is at the start of the generation.
