The kinshi (Japanese: 金鵄, kinshi; lit. golden kite), is a great bird appearing as the mount for the Kinshi Knight class introduced in Fire Emblem Fates. Their real life mythological inspiration are also sometimes known as golden kites, great birds appearing in Japanese mythology. Kinshi are presumably native to Hoshido, as that is the primary origin of the Kinshi Knight class.

Characteristics

Physical appearance

Kinshi are very large and ornate birds. They are large enough for a human to ride them in flight during battle. Their primary color is white. Though they have elegant trailing blue feathers from their heads and tails and their flight-feathers are golden.

Kinshi-mounted classes

So far, like the Griffon, the Kinshi serves as a mount for only a single class in the Fire Emblem series.
