Fortress Def is a three-tiered passive type A skill which debuted in Fire Emblem Heroes; the individual tiers of the skill are known as Fortress Def 1, Fortress Def 2, and Fortress Def 3 in order from lowest to highest. Units with a Fortress Def skill gain a large boost to their Defense stat, at the cost of a large drop to their Attack stat; the size of the Defense boost, but not of the Attack drop, increases with the skill's tier.
