When her foster father died, Brigid succeeded him as the leader of the Orgahil pirates. Her leadership of the group continued her father's honorable tradition, believing herself to have a duty to aid the poor of Orgahil and Agustria, to the dismay of some of the band's members. In Grann 759, during the climax of the Agustrian civil war, her former subordinate [[Duvall]] led the pirates in a mutiny against Brigid in response to her criticism of their attacks on Agustrian villages, and during her escape she was reunited with [[Edain]], now part of [[Sigurd]]'s army fighting to defend the people of Agustria from the pirates. Edain convinced Brigid to attempt to draw [[Yewfelle]], restoring her lost memories of her childhood in Yngvi, and she joined Sigurd's army in fighting the pirates, in exile in [[Silesse]] and in Sigurd's ill-fated march on Grannvale to confront the lies perpetrated against him. At some point during this time, she had two children: [[Febail]] and [[Patty]], who ended up in an orphanage in [[Conote]].

Brigid was present at the [[Battle of Belhalla]] and survived it, but was wounded and stripped of her memories. Six years after the battle, she was found washed up on the eastern coastline of [[Thracia]] by residents of the village of Iss, and was rescued and taken in by them.<ref>{{Cite|...I can't remember my own childhood, Little Lord. At some point during this time, she ventured to Conote and found a slave market attempting to sell [[Mareeta]], for which she killed the slave traders and rescued Mareeta. The year Grann 773 saw the arrival of three fugitives in Fiana: [[Leif]], [[Nanna]] and [[Finn]]. Eyvel allowed all three to settle in hiding in Fiana and sought to protect them from possible pursuits by the Grannvale Empire, although as time wore on Leif and Finn started assisting the Freeblades in combat missions. In Grann 776, while returning from a pirate-fighting mission with Leif and the Fiana Freeblades, Eyvel found that Fiana had been assaulted by [[Raydrik]] and his army in their absence, and was now under their control. Though initially hesitant to let Leif get caught in the fight, or to rush into an uncertain situation, she nonetheless decided to storm the village to retake it. Once the army was driven out, she found that [[Nanna]] and Mareeta had been taken as hostages by Raydrik. At Leif's insistence, she decided to depart for [[Munster]] with the militia the next day, intending to rescue the two.

After [[The Gate of Kelbeth|the fight at Fort Kelbeth]], when Raydrik arrived to capture Leif, Eyvel voluntarily also surrendered herself to captivity in order to look after Leif. The two and [[Lifis]] were taken to a prison in [[Munster]], and Eyvel was taken by Raydrik to an arena in the upper castle in order to see Nanna and Mareeta. In the arena, she and Nanna were pitted against several warriors, with Raydrik promising that she could see Mareeta if the warriors were defeated; when she did so, Mareeta was let into the arena, brainwashed by the [[Shadow Sword]] and seeking to kill Eyvel; [[Veld]] then turned Eyvel to [[Status conditions#Petrification|stone]].

Some time later, after the defeat of Raydrik, obtaining the [[Kia]] staff and learning that [[Sara]] was capable of using it, Leif travelled to the [[Loptr Church|Loptrian]] temple to which Veld had retreated, and there found the still-petrified Eyvel and had Sara cure her. There, she reunited with the Fiana Freeblades, was thanked by [[Galzus]] for raising Mareeta where he could not, and was approached by [[Finn]] about her true identity. Despite Finn's certainty that he had previously known Eyvel as Brigid, Eyvel denied the possibility of being a Crusader's heir as outlandish. Nonetheless, years after the conflict ended, her memory of her true identity as Brigid eventually returned and she was reunited with Febail and Patty, now adults and the rulers of House Yngvi.

Brigid is a playable unit in the first generation. She is the only first-generation unit capable of wielding [[Yewfelle]], and along with [[Quan]] she is one of the first playable first-generation units who can access a Crusader weapon. If she is [[Love|married]] by the end of [[Doorway to Destiny|Chapter 5]], then her children [[Febail]] and [[Patty]] will be available in the second generation.

Brigid is a very powerful player phase unit, boasting enough speed to consistently activate Follow-Up and quickly gains access to Yewfelle, which almost doubles her initial attack power. Unfortunately, ''Genealogy''{{'}}s design means that combat will often happen in the enemy phase, where she is unlikely to make counter-attacks due to being bow-locked. Furthermore, she lacks a mount, so unless you go very slowly, she is unlikely to reach combat outside of her initial join time. If one plays rather slowly, she can at least make for a decent boss-killer.

When it comes to her children, Febail inherits Yewfelle making him largely self-sufficient, so optimal pairings for Brigid tend to focus on improving the much weaker Patty. Lex grants Patty Paragon for fast experience gain and Vantage to make her combat better, but this pairing is somewhat difficult to pull off due to the movement disparity and no lover's conversations. Arden doesn't have these issues and also grants Vantage, but he does not give Paragon. Dew improves Patty's survivability by passing down Sol, and also helps Febail a lot by making the Yewfelle cheaper to repair with Bargain, though the pairing is tad difficult to get since Dew has more movement than Brigid. Chulainn also improves Patty's combat by passing down Luna and his minor Od blood, giving her B swords and allowing her to use the Brave Sword; however, Febail is unable to inherit Luna and does not benefit from the Od blood outside of growths. If one wishes to neglect Patty, Brigid can hook up with Jamke who has the benefit of sharing her movement speed and give a couple of extra bows to use to minimize Yewfelle repairs.

Eyvel is a playable unit who is introduced as part of the starting party in [[The Warrior of Fiana|Chapter 1]]. After completing [[The Gate of Kelbeth|Chapter 3]], Eyvel is forced to leave the party along with everyone else except [[Lifis]]. She is briefly playable again in [[Mother and Child|Chapter 5]], being trapped in the central arena with [[Nanna]], but she will inevitably be [[Status conditions#Petrification|petrified]] as part of the chapter's story and will leave the party again for almost the rest of the game.

 

She is re-recruitable in [[The Lopt Altar|Chapter 24x]] by using the [[Kia]] staff to cure her petrification. If Chapter 24x is skipped or the player fails to use Kia on Eyvel, she will instead appear as the [[Deadlords|Deadlord]] [[Draco]] in the [[An Undying Oath|Endgame]]. As Draco is a [[Sniper]] (her class as Brigid), not a [[Swordmaster]] (her class as Eyvel), this was likely intended as a hint at her original identity.

Eyvel is a rather strange unit. Because of her high bases and weapon levels, but low growths and early join time she might at first seem like a [[Jagen]]-type unit, similar to [[Dagdar]]. However, after chapter 3 the player loses access to Eyvel, then gets to briefly use her in chapter 5 and then can only use her again if they visit [[The_Lopt_Altar|chapter 24x]]. Since Eyvel rejoins in the last 2 chapters her bases are not as impressive as they were at the start of the game and the player will most likely have other trained up units stronger than her and other stronger prepromotes like [[Ced_(character)|Ced]] and [[Galzus]]. Eyvel is still an amazing character at the start of the game, being able to double every enemy with her capped speed, being the first character with access to the Flame sword and being completely [[Unused_content_in_Fire_Emblem:_Thracia_776#Skills|immortal]] from chapter 1 to 5, though she can still be captured in said chapters. Eyvel can also serve as a decent filler unit in the final chapter thanks to her authority star, but usually there are better options.

Brigid, under her Eyvel identity, is playable as a [[SpotPass]] [[bonus unit]], released in the ''Thracia 776'' character set. She is also present as an enemy in the [[Lost Bloodlines 1|first]] and [[Lost Bloodlines 3|third]] installments of the ''Lost Bloodlines'' [[Downloadable content in Fire Emblem Awakening|DLC]] series.

As Brigid, she was first made available to be summoned by players on August 7, 2020 in a special pirate variation surrounding the launch of the [[Pirate's Pride]] update. The aforementioned pirate variation of Brigid is the only one currently available in ''Heroes'', based on her ''Genealogy of the Holy War'' incarnation. The Brigid identity is one of a rare number of characters to have been made available only as a special variation without a normal variation of them available (no files at all exist in the game for their regular versions).

As Eyvel, she is one of the characters added to the game in the [[The Dream]] update, and became available for summoning by players on December 6, 2019. Only one variation of Eyvel is currently available in ''Heroes'', based on her ''Thracia 776'' incarnation.
