Sound Room of Fire Emblem: Shadow Dragon
In Fire Emblem: Shadow Dragon, the Sound Room is unlocked by completing the game once on any difficulty. Individual songs are unlocked once one encounters the song playing in its original context in the main game; as such, it is possible to skip over unlocking battle themes (except "Medeus, Shadow Dragon") by turning off battle animations.
As with almost every game since Blazing Sword, the Sound Room displays CG images from within the game while in use. It does not display the few images used in the opening sequence.
The Shadow Dragon soundtrack and Sound Room feature 63 songs. Though the game is a remake, a surprisingly large portion of the Shadow Dragon soundtrack consists of songs not found in Ankoku Ryuu to Hikari no Tsurugi or Monshou no Nazo Book 1. The soundtrack for the original games was comparatively rather small and limited, necessitating the expansion of the soundtrack with a large number of new themes.
The soundtrack was given a Japan-only album release in December 2008: the "Fire Emblem: Shin Ankoku Ryuu to Hikari no Ken Original Soundtrack". The album contains the game's full soundtrack, but not in the same order as the Sound Room - it appears to have been ordered roughly in chronological order of appearance in-game.
