Merge Proposal

...I'm sorry, but I'm going to have to call oppose to the proposal to merge these variant regalia. Based on what we've seen concerning the Weapon Refinery feature (thanks, Feh!), Divine Tyrfing, Divine Naga, Dark Aura, Dark Excalibur, and Blazing Durandal clearly fall into the same principle as stuff like the Killing Edge+/Slaying Edge+ situation, and that principle calls for separate pages. Unless you're willing to bring everything else under the Killing Edge+/Slaying Edge+ situation into a merge proposal as well, although I certainly believe that wouldn't result in any page merges...--Shiningpikablu252 (talk) 05:34, 15 November 2017 (UTC)

I'd support merging those too, since their Japanese names are literally Forged Killer Bow (Slaying Bow), Forged Armorkiller (Armorsmasher), etc. PikaSamus (talk) 13:52, 15 November 2017 (UTC)
I would also support merging the Slaying weapons in, and all the "+" variants for that matter. They're all marked as stubs but there isn't any more information to add, so they all say basically the same thing with slightly different numbers in stats. Wouldn't it be more convenient to have all of that info in the same place? BrandedOne (talk) 19:04, 15 November 2017 (UTC)

Now that the update is actually out, before pages are created, I would like to say this: I agree with BrandedOne that the + versions should be merged, as well as the slaying weapons and the new forged variants. There's not much to say about them other than "it is a better version of X". Dragonstone+ and Beaststone+ should probably remain separate because of Japanese names. PikaSamus (talk) 04:38, 28 November 2017 (UTC)

I agree with the above. If the Japanese names are indeed "Forged Killing Edge", "Forged Armorslayer", etc., .... the case is open and shut. They're literally the same items but stronger. As for Divine Tyrfing, Divine Naga, and Blazing Durandal, they fall under the same principle as Exalted Falchion- they're the full epithet of the item as the item name. Divine Naga's Japanese name, in fact, was the item name of it in Awakening... so if Divine Naga/Tyrfing are split off, the FE13 version of Book of Naga would be split off under that principle too, and that's just a stupid thing to do. It's the epithet/full name of the item compared to the shorter one. As for Dark Excalibur/Dark Aura, I would say those are perhaps not intended to be the same but rather the versions from Valentia... but the versions from Valentia already share a page with Excalibur/Aura. The point is therefore moot since it's just the Valentia versions of Aura and Excalibur. However, thing's like Divine Tyrfing being called "Sigurd's version" should be changed now, which I shall do momentarily ArthurThomas (talk) 17:13, 28 November 2017 (UTC)
Also agreed with merging Tyrfing -> Divine Tyrfing (and other similar cases like Killing/Slaying Edge), and the regular and + versions, per all above. Not really much more I can add that has not already been said. --Moydow (Support) 03:16, 29 November 2017 (UTC)

Just throwing in my support for this merge proposal. I've no further comments as anything I can really say on the matter has already been expressed. L95 (talk) 04:18, 29 November 2017 (UTC)

It has been 29 days since the last comment here, and Shiningpikablu252 has not offered any rebuttal, so I say the consensus here is merge all the evolved weapon forms ("Killing Edge+/Slaying Edge+ situation") and the Heroes + weapons. I am on vacation, so I can't do it at the moment. I'll be able to do it in around a week, if it hasn't been done already by then. PikaSamus (talk) 22:01, 28 December 2017 (UTC)
