Avatar's English Name

Hi, I'm new and I don't really know how edit that much but they announced the Avatar's official English name at E3 and it is Corrin. If someone can put it or show me how that would be nice. Thank you! RoseRaider (talk) 14:07, 19 June 2015 (UTC)

The default name is probably Corrin, at least in my opinion, but most people were holding off on adding it due to some vagueness. L95 (talk) 04:34, 19 June 2015 (UTC)
Yeah, basically, they didn't show the default "create avatar" screen in the Treehouse video, with the default name in the box, so until we actually see the default name in the game, it isn't explicitly confirmed as far as we're concerned. --Moydow (Support) 23:49, 19 June 2015 (UTC)

Differences between Male and Female in cutscenes

There are actually some cutscene differences between the Male and Female Avatars in terms of their appearance. In most cases you can see their legs, with the Female's thighs showing[1] but the Male's covered up[2] (at 0:05 for both). Likewise, the Female's puffy shelves can be seen[3] in comparison with the Male's simplier design[4]. (At 0:06 for both. Their full bodies minus the head are visible at 0:11 for further comparison.) I can't say for certain that all the cutscenes follow this rule, but I assume that any cutscene that you can see the Avatar does the same thing. Fastesthe1 (talk) 02:31, 18 December 2015 (UTC)

Ah, alright, I also just double checked mine with the scene viewer, and yeah, there are differences I thought weren't there. (The big one was the girl's thigh cutouts in a scene, but I just wasn't looking hard enough) L95 (talk) 02:43, 18 December 2015 (UTC)

This might be a bit unnecessary but I was thinking that for corrin and robin's pages we should show all the hair, accessories, and hair and eye color option or show what colors there are like inkipedia.Emblem Dragon (talk) 14:20, 6 August 2021 (UTC)

Name

Maybe I'm wrong, but shouldn't the name of this page be Corrin? After all, the other main characters of the Fire Emblem games use their name, making it seem strange that this main character is just "the Avatar." Looking at articles from other wikis of the NIWA, Link is still called "Link" even in games where he can have a different name, such as in Ocarina of Time (http://zeldawiki.org/The_Legend_of_Zelda:_Ocarina_of_Time#The_Boy_Without_a_Fairy) or Skyward Sword (http://zeldawiki.org/The_Legend_of_Zelda:_Skyward_Sword#The_Wing_Ceremony). The same is true for the main character of the Gen. I Pokemon games, known as Red rather than something like "the Avatar" (http://bulbapedia.bulbagarden.net/wiki/Red_(game) ). Any thoughts? —The Sackinator (talk) 18:11, 26 September 2016 (UTC)

Bump-a-dump. News: We just did it with Robin; why not do the same with Corrin?

Because, as I mentioned in Robin's talk page, we need someone with higher permissions for move Avatar (Fates) to Corrin, because Corrin is already a redirect to Avatar (Fates).L95 (talk) 19:09, 4 October 2016 (UTC)

Okay, I see. Never mind what I was saying; it was mainly for whoever was watching this page (e.g., if they're different than from the page on Robin). Thanks! —The Sackinator (talk) 19:37, 4 October 2016 (UTC)
