Fire Emblem: Shadow Dragon & the Blade of Light

Opening

Jagen: Prince Marth! Princess Caeda has alighted from Talys Castle.
Marth: Caeda, what's wrong? Did something happen?
Caeda: Prince Marth! What a relief. Talys Castle is under attack from pirates of Galder! After a fierce fight, they have taken the castle. I beg you, please save my father!
Marth: Don't worry, Caeda. The brave knights of Altea stand ready. Pirates are no match for us! Let's head back to the castle and rescue the king!

Houses and Villages

Houses

  • Right-east house:
Old man: Villagers have their gates open so that the prince can visit. Don't make them wait! Once a thief attacks a village, that's it. There's no saving it.
  • Middle-east house:
Young man: You can't use strong weapons if you don't have a high enough weapon level. That's just common sense. And don't forget that your fliers need to be careful around foes with bows!
  • Left-east house:
Woman: There is a village south of the castle. A priest named Wrys awaits the prince there.
  • Left-west house:
Man: Galder? It's a port town south of the isle of Talys. A man by the name of Gomer has taken control of the city. It's lousy with pirate scum!
  • Right-west house:
Woman: If you are injured, stop at a fortress. You'll feel better after a short rest behind strong walls.

East Village

Villager: It is good that you have come, Prince Marth. I have here 10,000G that the villagers gathered. Take it. Please, use it to equip yourselves. Save this land from these rampaging pirates of Galder!
(Received 10,000 gold)

West Village

Wrys: I am Wrys, a humble curate. I cannot fight, but this staff I carry can heal the wounded. Please allow me to join you.
(Wrys joins)

Ending

King of Talys: Prince Marth! You have done well to make it here safely. You have my thanks. So, you plan to travel to Aurelis? In that case, though they are few in number, my soldiers will join you. From Captain Ogma down, they are all brave warriors and should serve you well. That is not all. Heed me now. As you travel through these lands, you may find many who cannot tolerate the tyranny of Dolhr. Some are hiding in villages. Others have been taken prisoner. And some must work with the enemy... You must seek these people out and work together! Heed the call! The time has come! Set foot on your path, but be vigilant! You face many dangers.

Introduction

Prince Marth of Altea was chased out of his homeland by the Dolhr Empire. He was protected by the Altean knights, led by the veteran knight, Jagen. And he escaped, after much struggle, to the eastern island kingdom of Talys. The Kingdom of Talys was a small country, without even its own knights, located at the frontier. The King of Talys lent his eastern fortress to Marth, and offered him assistance. After the death of both his parents, and his beloved sister's capture, by the Empire, Marth felt anxious. "Prince Marth... I understand your concern for your sister. However you're only 14. You're too young to fight with the Empire. Please wait for now. Here you can train, until you become strong enough..." Under the caring protection of the Talys citizens, Marth had passed 2 years at this country. Right now, it is fast approaching the day that he becomes 16 years of age...

Marth: What? Caeda, what's happened to the castle?
Caeda: Marth, am I glad to see you! The Galder pirates suddenly attacked us. They took over the castle, and killed lots of people! Please, you've got to rescue my father!
Marth: Don't worry, Caeda. The bravest Altean knights are here in this fort. We won't lose to those pirates. Come, let's go to Talys castle together.
(The Altean knights leave the fort)

Villages and houses

Houses

  • South-east house:
Young woman: When Cavaliers or Pegasus Knights dismount, they become Knights. When Horsemen dismount, they can fight as Hunters.
  • Right north-east house:

  • Middle north-east house:

  • Right-west house:
Old woman: Galder is a port town to the west of Talys Island. Right now it is a pirates' base, ruled by a man called Gomer.
  • Left-west house:
Man: Archanea's Princess Nyna and Aurelis' Hardin have currently united. It seems they are fighting to defend an Aurelis against an invasion by Dolhr's imperial army. It's going to be a fierce battle. Your highness, you should go to help them.

Young woman: Oh, you're the prince of Altea! It's like a dream to be able to see you... This... This Vulnerary is a small gift from me. Please accept it.
Vulnerary obtained!

Fighting Gazzak

Gazzak: What, the Altean army!? If we let you guys walk all over us, it would ruin the name of us pirates! ...Die!

Killing Gazzak

Gazzak: Urgh... How...
(Gazzak dies)

Ending

King of Talys: Oh, Prince Marth. I am glad to see you're safe. We are all very grateful for your actions. Is that so...? You're finally heading out to Aurelis? In that case, I will send some soldiers to aid you. These men, led by Captain Ogma, are all brave warriors. I'm certain they Will help you in battle. Before you go, I have some important advice for your highness. From now on, during your highness' travels, you will surely find many people who despise the Dolhr empire. Some of them are hiding in villages, while others have been captured by enemies. There may even be some that have been forced to work for Dolhr. Finding these people and fighting together with them is crucial. Do you understand me Prince Marth...? Well, the time has come! You must be determined during your journey. Good luck!

Fire Emblem: Shadow Dragon

Introduction

Marth, prince of Altea was lucky. Though Dolhr took from him his kingdom and all but a handful of knights, they could not take his life. Marth lived and made it to the eastern isle of Talys. Talys was a small border kingdom, with no grand order of knights to boast of, but its king selflessly gave Marth use of the isle's eastern fortress. And as he saw the boy shake with anger and grief, he also gave wise counsel: "Prince Marth," he said, "I do not doubt you love your sister something great. But you must be patient... Time is on your side. If you stay here, and grow stronger, a time will come when you can help her." So Marth stayed in Talys, protected by its kind people, and the years went by...

Opening

On Hard Mode, or if Jagen survived the prologue on Normal mode

Jagen: Sire! You've a visitor from the castle. It's Princess Caeda!

If Jagen did not survive the prologue on Normal mode

Draug: Sire! You have a visitor from the castle. It's Princess Caeda!

Marth: Caeda, what is it? You look white as a sheet!
Caeda: Marth, come quickly! It’s the castle... Galdr's pirates attacked from out of nowhere... They stormed the gates and cut down everyone in their path! I fear for my father's life...
Marth: Steady, Caeda. You did well to come find us. Altea's bravest knights aren't about to hand Talys to that flock of seafowl. Come, we'll make for the castle now!

Houses and villages

  • Right-east house:
Old man: Villages will keep their gates open for Prince Marth, but he must be quick – if a thief reaches a village before the prince does, there may not be any more village left to visit.
  • Middle-east house:
Young man: I hear you need a high weapon level to wield the strongest weapons. Another thing: Keep your fliers away from those enemy archers!
  • Left-east house:
Young man: A knight belongs on the front lines, if you ask me. That thick armor can take a lot of abuse, so they should be up front protecting the other units.
  • Right-west house:
Teenage boy: Galder? That's the harbor town west of Talys out beyond the water. These days, a pirate by the name of Gomer calls the shots there. The whole town's at the mercy of his crew.
  • Left-west house:
Old woman: A man of the staff by the name of Wrys lives in the village south of the castle. He was hopin' to meet your prince.

East village

Old man: Prince Marth! 'Tis good you stopped by. The villagers have collected 10,000 gold pieces. If it please you, use the money to arm your warriors, and rid our land of those pirates.
(Received 10,000 gold)

West village

Wrys: I am Wrys, a humble curate. I cannot fight, but this staff I carry can heal your wounded. Take me with you, and you'll be very glad you did.
(Wrys joins)

Ending

Talys King: Ah, Prince Marth! You have saved us in our hour of need. Please accept my thanks. Lad, I believe you are ready. If you wish to seek out allies in Aurelis, I will give you what soldiers I can to see you arrive there safely. Captain Ogma is a fine swordsman, brave and true. I know he and his fighters will serve you well. Another thing...During your travels, you are certain to meet many who despise Dolhr. Some may be hiding in villages; other may have been captured or forced to fight against their will or better judgment. It falls upon you to find these individuals and win them over your cause. Understood, lad? Then go! The time has come! Be patient, steady, strong: I know you will do great things.
