Fire Emblem: New Mystery of the Emblem

The Ordinary Staff (Japanese: ただの杖 Ordinary Staff) is an uncommon but unremarkable healing staff which appears only in Fire Emblem: New Mystery of the Emblem. It acts as a joke item distributed by random chance alongside more powerful items, healing even less HP than the basic Heal staff.

Intended as a combination of "Heal" and the hesitating interjection "er", as in "er, this is a crap staff".[1]

Japanese

"Ordinary staff" or "just a staff". Referred to as "MEDIOCREROD" in its internal file name in New Mystery of the Emblem.
