Harmonic Lance |
A mistranslation of the Japanese name. 倭 means "Japanese", but can also mean "harmony" due to conflation with the homophonous character 和. Compare the Japanese names of Wo Dao, Wo Gùn, and yumi. If this item were named in English with the same pattern as its sword and axe counterparts, it would be wō móu, the Mandarin Chinese reading of 倭鉾. |
