The Knight Lord has a complete set of battle sprites, which are largely similar to their Genealogy ones aside from the rider now wearing a helmet. An alternate version of [[ | An alternate version of the Endgame exists in the data, it is used for the game's closing cutscenes after defeating the final boss, though only a portion of it can be seen during the cutscene. It is referred to in the save menu as ', a string which has no apparent meaning and forms no words in either Japanese or English; however, when beginning the chapter, the chapter title splash instead display's the Endgame's proper name. Its physical layout is virtually identical to the final game's version of the map, but it reuses the Munster Castle interior tileset rather than the final version's unique tileset, and accordingly features walls around the boundary of the map's ground, rather than the empty void the final version features. Veld's chamber is not locked in this version and both he and his Berserker guards are clearly visible. | ||

The exact same enemies are present as in the final version with the exact same weapons and skills; the bosses have identical stats to the final version. Beginning the chapter will play the normal Endgame's opening cutscene with no differences. However, it appears the map has failed to define proper starting points for the player's army, causing playable units to spawn out of bounds with glitchy results and be completely unable to be properly moved. As a result, the map is unplayable, and whether or not it shares its later cutscenes with the finished version is unknown. | ||

Numerous pieces of unused content have been found within the game data of Fire Emblem: Thracia 776.
Text
This section has been marked as a stub. Please help improve the page by adding information.
There are two unused item name strings.
String | Notes |
---|---|
ブリューナク Buryūnaku |
"Brionac", a common spear name in Japanese entertainment that is sometimes erroneously claimed to be the name of Lugh's spear in Irish mythology; however, this name has no basis in the actual Irish myths and is entirely an invention of the Japanese fantasy genre (compare "Ichaival"). This name first appeared in the 1990 book Truth in Fantasy 6.[1] |
バイエスリン Baiesurin |
Meaning uncertain, though it contains the name of Ethlyn. |
There is one item description string not assigned to any items. It reads 所持アイテム
("Held item"), which is also present at the end of the descriptions for the Bridge Key, Chest Key, Door Key, Lockpick, and Member Card.
Items
Thirteen known unused items exist in Thracia 776, many of which are old weapons left over from Fire Emblem: Genealogy of the Holy War. Some of these items lack proper help description text and instead point to erroneous non-text data, resulting in severe lag and graphical glitches should a player attempt to view the item's stats in-game.
Uniquely, Valflame and Loptous have personal weapon locks applied to them but no associated characters, meaning they cannot be used at all even if hacked in. Presumably, this could be overcome through further hacking. Additionally, all of the unused Genealogy regalia retain the opening flash they had in Genealogy, while Forseti does not have the flash.

Skills
The game uses a number of hidden skills to confer class or weapon attributes like Canto or critical hit negation; or to protect units important to the plot like Eyvel, who cannot die under any circumstances until Chapter 24x, but may still be captured.[2] There is, however, a visible but unused skill whose name and description claim to make the user immortal, despite having a completely different effect.
Character portraits
Several unused character portraits are currently known to exist in Thracia 776, some of which depict characters from Genealogy of the Holy War in the updated art style of Thracia.
An unused portrait of Arthur, a Genealogy character. | |
An unused portrait of Asaello, a Genealogy character. This portrait faces right instead of the standard left. | |
An unused portrait of Daisy, a Genealogy character. | |
An unused portrait of Jeanne, a Genealogy character. | |
An unused portrait of Hermina, a Genealogy character. | |
An unused portrait of the blacksmith from Genealogy's castles. | |
These three portraits are palette swaps of portraits used by some of the game's bosses, and belong to three of the game's unused characters. | |
Other unused recolors of some bosses. | |
Several unused recolors of used generic portraits. Some are left over from Genealogy of the Holy War. | |
Unused generic portrait. The figure depicted in the portrait bears a strong resemblance to the battle sprite of the Dark Prince class. | |
The generic Civilian portrait from Fire Emblem: Genealogy of the Holy War is in the game's data. It is unused as all instances of Civilians in Thracia 776 use villager portraits or unique portraits. |
Characters
There exist numerous sets of complete stat and profile data for unused characters. Some of these character slots use a different character's portrait, even in the case of characters who otherwise appear in the game's cutscenes and thus have portraits of their own.
Characters whose level is marked with a ? do not have an internally set level, so their stats are subject to change through auto-leveling if accessed in gameplay.
Gunna
Gunna (Japanese: グンナ Gunna) uses the boss Cohen's portrait. He has unused death and escape quotes of their own, the contents of which imply that the character was intended to be Asbel's father; this is supported by Gunna's class, Bishop, which matches the role Asbel's father is stated in his ending to have held in the city of Hrest. His data is located at the character index number 2C, in the middle of the playable characters.

Julius
- Main article:
Julius
Two sets of unused data for Julius exist: one assigned with Saias's portrait, the other with Julia's portrait. The two sets are largely identical, but the Saias version's name is spelled ジュリアス Juriasu rather than the usual ユリウス Yuriusu, and has some data the Julia version lacks. In the finished game, Julius appears only in a cutscene in the ending of Chapter 4.
The Saias version is located at character index number 34, while the Julia version is located at the character index number AD.

Classes
There are twenty unused classes in Thracia 776; counting different-gendered and mounted/dismounted counterparts as one and the same, there are ten. Almost all of these are classes returning from Genealogy of the Holy War, with the addition of dismounted versions of the returning mounted classes.
Knight Lord
- Main article:
Knight Lord
Sigurd and Seliph's advanced class is present as unused data. Unusually, Thracia 776 has added to it the ability to use staves, albeit only when dismounted.
The Knight Lord has a complete set of battle sprites, which are largely similar to their Genealogy ones aside from the rider now wearing a helmet. When dismounted, the Knight Lord directly shares its battle sprites with Leif himself; however, they are not properly coded to use staves, so the game will freeze when having a dismounted Knight Lord use staves with battle animations enabled. For their map sprites, the mounted version has its own unique neutral animation, but when moved it reuses the Cavalier's moving animations as placeholders. It shares its dismounted map sprites with other dismounted classes, specifically the sprites used by Paladins, Great Knights and Duke Knights.

Master Knight
- Main article:
Master Knight
Male and female variants of this class exist, as well as mounted and dismounted versions. Curiously, compared to Genealogy, Master Knights no longer have access to light magic. Additionally, when dismounted, Master Knights can only use swords.
In battle, the male mounted version has a near-complete set of battle sprites, which appear to be touched up versions of what they had in Genealogy; however, when using bows, the animation is incomplete and appears as a garbled set of the class's sprite parts. The female mounted version is very incomplete, reusing the Lance Knight's sprites with a garbled color palette on the rider, and also completely lacking a shield. Its animations otherwise work, again with the exception of bows. For their map sprites, both mounted versions have their own unique neutral animations, but when moved they reuse the Troubadour's moving animations as placeholders. Their dismounted sprites, both map and battle, are shared with other dismounted classes; the male shares the Paladin/Great Knight/Duke Knight sprites, while the female shares the same sprites as every other promoted dismounted female class.

Maps
Alternate endgame
An alternate version of the Endgame exists in the data, it is used for the game's closing cutscenes after defeating the final boss, though only a portion of it can be seen during the cutscene. It is referred to in the save menu as QESてもたデつB!, a string which has no apparent meaning and forms no words in either Japanese or English; however, when beginning the chapter, the chapter title splash instead display's the Endgame's proper name.
The map itself is not only near-completely functional, but seems to completely share its events and contents with the finished version with no differences.
The alternate endgame map can be accessed using the Action Replay code 7E0E1123
.
Weapon locks
There are five weapon locks that are not assigned to any items. The first weapon lock is for Halvan. The second is for Sleuf, Sara, Cohen, and certain Friege enemies. The third is for Galzus. The fourth is for Perne. The fifth is for Linoan, Sara, and Canis.
Additionally, there are three weapon locks that are assigned to unused items. The first is a lock for Ishtar only, which is used by Mjölnir. The second is for the Killer Ballista, but the lock has no units set to be able to use it. The third is used for Valflame and Loptous, but no units are set to be able to use them.
