“ | I thought to catch a little bird in my net, and it seems instead I've snared a hawk. | ” | — Tirado upon seeing Seth with Eirika |
---|
Tirado (Japanese: ティラード Tirado) is a boss appearing in Fire Emblem: The Sacred Stones. He is an officer in the Grado army, under Valter, and is in charge of capturing Eirika at Renvall.
Fire Emblem: The Sacred Stones
Role
Tirado appears as the boss of Chapter 8.
Tirado initially appears in Chapter 5x discussing with Valter how to capture Prince Ephraim. After telling Valter that he has yet to capture the prince he reassures his superior he has many more plans. He and Valter then depart north to pursue Ephraim, and leave the mercenary Zonta to defend the fortress in his absence.
Later, at the start of Chapter 8 Tirado meets Eirika's forces at the fortress's entrance after Orson has led them in under the perception that they are going to rescue Ephraim. Tirado relieves Orson, now revealed as traitorous, of his duties. Tirado then reveals that Ephraim's imprisonment at fort Renvall was a lie spread into the populace to lure the Princess to his trap. He then has his forces move to kill Eirika and take her bracelet.
Despite his efforts, and with the arrival of Ephraim, he ends up killed and is unable to capture Eirika.

Personality and character
Tirado is confident in his abilities and considers his misdirection of Eirika to be a shining example of his cunning.
Rumors have spread among the locals that he intends to backstab Valter and take his place,[1] but Tirado is defeated before he is able to bring such plans to fruition, if they were ever more than rumors at all. When in the presence of Valter he speaks pleasantly to his superior.[2]
