Talk:Hríd

From Fire Emblem Wiki, your source on Fire Emblem information. By fans, for fans.

Hrid is the eldest sibling period.

"He is the second-eldest of the four royal siblings of Nifl,[1] and its only prince." This is factually incorrect; Meet the Heroes clarifies that Hrid is older than Gunnthra in both Hrid and Gunnthra's pages. https://guide.fire-emblem-heroes.com/en-US/hrid_icy_blade/ https://guide.fire-emblem-heroes.com/en-US/gunnthra_voice_of_dreams/

The context for Fjorm's quote is from the story: https://feheroes.fandom.com/wiki/Hellfire/Story#Ending_2 but nowhere does she explicitly state that she's naming Hrid and Gunnthra in any particular order. She is only reiterating that Ylgr is the youngest. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Kirbystan (talkcontribs). Remember to always sign your talk page comments with ~~~~!

I would not call it an unimpeachable fact that Hríd is the eldest child; even if it is not explicit, Fjorm's quote strongly indicates Gunnthrá to be the eldest, as it would be quite bizarre to list her and Hríd arbitrarily, but herself and Ylgr by age. However, I would agree that the consistency of Hríd's and Gunnthrá's Meet some of the Heroes pages more strongly indicates Hríd to be the eldest. — Thecornerman (talk) 19:20, 22 March 2023 (UTC)

I wouldn't say that Fjorm's quote "strongly indicates" Gunnthra to be older. It's a one-off quote from the story that requires additional inference, while Meet the Heroes is a more up-to-date source and still canon. But besides that I agree. Thank you :) Kirbystan (talk) 19:50, 22 March 2023 (UTC)
