Just まほう is listed on the status screen, not black and white. Additionally they act as the same weapon type gameplay wise (as long as their learnset allows it a unit can use both). They just have different selections to access them. Doesn't this make them the same weapon type? PikɑSɑmus (talk) 18:03, 27 June 2016 (UTC)

Alm's sword and bow selection uses separate options, so I'd say there is precedent for the selection meaning different weapon types. L95 (talk) 18:51, 27 June 2016 (UTC)

On Alm's status screen, swords and bows are listed separately (つるぎ・ゆみ) unlike magic. It's a different case. PikɑSɑmus (talk) 19:17, 27 June 2016 (UTC)
Having the different selection options to distinguish them seems like more than enough reason to keep them separate, especially since the different selections establish a pretty sensible definition divide between the two (black = attacking, white = support). There isn't a potential benefit to merging the two categories here, either. --PA (talk) 23:56, 27 June 2016 (UTC)
