Slayer (Japanese: 魔物特効 Monster Effectiveness) is a combat skill which was introduced in Fire Emblem Gaiden. Exclusive to the Falcon Knight class in Gaiden and the Bishop class in The Sacred Stones, it causes all attacks from any usable weapon by the user to be effective against monsters.

Trivia

  • In Gaiden, attacks from a Falcon Knight against a monster will have a special animation. When the attack hits, small fairies (similar to those from Seraphim, except smaller) circle around the tip of the lance, and then turn into sparkles and disappear.
  • Slayer is always active on any and all weapons used by a Bishop, not just light magic, should the game be modified to give them something other than light magic. This also applies to staves wielded by Bishops, and if an offensive staff is used on a monster it will give the flashing-icon indication that it deals bonus damage to the subject even though it deals no damage whatsoever; the skill has no effect on the staff's accuracy or effectiveness.
