— Noish

(Japanese: ノイッシュ Noish) was a knight in the service of House Chalphy in Grannvale, and the friend and rival of fellow Chalphy knight Alec. When the Grannvale army went to war with Isaach, Noish was one of its few knights left behind, remaining in Chalphy with Sigurd.

Fire Emblem: Genealogy of the Holy War

Role

Noish was present in Chalphy when they received word of the Verdane attack on Jungby Castle. When Sigurd tried to instruct his soldiers to remain at Chalphy while he examined the situation, Noish insisted on accompanying Sigurd into battle as his duty as a knight. Noish subsequently accompanied Sigurd's army on the campaigns in Verdane and Agustria, in exile in Silesse, and presumably in being executed by the mages of Velthomer in the Battle of Belhalla.

Personality and character

In contrast to Alec's wilder ways, Noish was calm and thoughtful, taking the time to consider a situation and any requirements which may require covering in the course of a battle.[1] He took his oaths as a knight seriously, insisting on fighting alongside and protecting Sigurd instead of waiting at Chalphy.[2]
