Mokushu (Japanese: フウマ Fūma) is an independent country bordering Hoshido. It is ruled by a daimyo, Kotaro, during the events of Fire Emblem Fates.
History
Prior to the events of the game, the kingdom of Mokushu declared war on the neighboring kingdom of Kohga resulting in the destruction of the latter. At the beginning of the war between Nohr and Hoshido, Mokushu originally declared to side with the kingdom of Hoshido.
During the events of Fates, it was revealed by Kotaro himself that this allegeance was a ruse in order to prepare a large scale invasion of Hoshido with the combined troops of Mokushu and Nohr in order to fulfill a agreement with Garon who promised him a huge piece of land to expand Mokushu's territory. This revelation was succeeded by a clash between Corrin's army and Kotaro's forces resulting in the death of the latter and the fall of Mokushu.
