Trivia
- In the DS games, the Master Key is internally referred to as "THIEFKEY", which is the Japanese name of the Lockpick, a similar item to the Master Key which appeared in past games.
- In the text shown when selecting the Lockpick in the item menu in the Japanese GBA games, the Lockpick is described as a 万能カギ bannō kagi "all-purpose key", which is the Japanese name of the Master Key (although the word for key is written in katakana here).
