Lance

First game

Fire Emblem: Shadow Dragon & the Blade of Light

The (Japanese: やり Lance) is a relatively unknown lance-type weapon in the Fire Emblem series. It initially appeared only in the two NES installments of the series, its role in later games being taken by the Iron Lance and the Bronze Lance, before finally reappearing in Fire Emblem Echoes: Shadows of Valentia, twenty-five years after its previous appearance in the series.

In Fire Emblem: Shadow Dragon & the Blade of Light, it is the most basic lance, featuring a weapon level of 1. In Fire Emblem Gaiden and again in Echoes, it is the basic weapon for Soldiers, Knights, Barons, Cavaliers, Paladins, Gold Knights, Pegasus Knights, and Falcon Knights, with no base might of its own but being wieldable without otherwise having a weapon equipped.
