“ | God, I can't stand conceited men like him. I need a man the calibre of my dear brother. That's why I'll never marry. | ” | — Lachesis, on Elliot |
---|
Lachesis (Japanese: ラケシス Rackesis) was a princess of the Agustrian state of Nordion, and the younger sister of its king Eldigan. A friend of Sigurd of Chalphy like her brother, she allied with Sigurd when Nordion was beseiged by Elliot of Heirhein and in the Agustrian civil war, despite this putting her at odds with Eldigan, who reluctantly continued to serve King Chagall. After Eldigan's execution, she accompanied Sigurd's army in his exile in Silesse.
Fire Emblem: Genealogy of the Holy War
Role
While Eldigan was in Agusti parleying with his liege, King Chagall, Lachesis remained at Nordion under the protection of three of Eldigan's Cross Knights: Eva, Eve and Alva. With Eldigan gone, Elliot of Heirhein attempted to assault Nordion in retaliation for Lachesis spurning his advances, but was stopped by Lachesis with the support of Sigurd and his army, which came to assist from Evans. Afterwards when King Chagall orders Eldigan to assault castle Agusti after the Seize of Castle Madino, Lachesis pleads with Eldigan to stop fighting for Chagall, which leads him to return to Sylvale attempt to reason with Chagall one more time.

Analysis
This character analysis section may not be accurate to every player's experience. |
Lachesis can be a confusing unit for newcomers. On the surface, she is a cleric-like unit who can use A-rank swords, but only C-rank staffs. She also lacks Follow-Up until promotion, so her combat is inferior at first. However, Lachesis has arguably the strongest promotion in the game, and can acquire several helpful items to allow her to reach it. Her starting Miracle Sword enables her to clear the Arena more easily as losing a fight will put her in Miracle range and make her almost impossible to hit. Dew will give her the Thief Sword in Chapter 2, which will let her pick up the gold she needs to buy the Paragon Ring and other helpful items. If her retainers survive Chapter 2, they will give her the Knight Ring. It is useless on Lachesis herself when she is promoted, but can be sold for more gold. Finally, Eldigan will give her the Earth Sword in Chapter 3, which improves her survivability in combat and can also be sold for gold. Perhaps most importantly, her ability to use staffs gives her an easy way to grind EXP without needing to fight risky battles.
After promotion, Lachesis gains access to a mount, Follow-Up, and an A-Rank in almost every weapon and magic type. She can also further capitalize on staffs by using them from horseback (especially once Ethlyn leaves in Chapter 4), making better use of the Warp staff than Edain can. As a fighter, Lachesis can be loaded up with any high power weapon that is not being used. However, keep in mind that she can only pass C-rank staffs and A-rank swords down to Nanna.
Beowolf and Finn are considered Lachesis's best husbands. Beowolf gives Nanna and Diarmuid Follow-Up and Accost, as well as being able to pass down A-Rank swords to Diarmuid. Finn also passes down Follow-Up, but switches Accost for Miracle. He also has a conversation with Nanna in Chapter 7 that will give her +5 Speed if he is her father. However, Finn cannot pass any swords down to Diarmuid, and he himself will lose his whole inventory in Chapter 7 (replaced with an Iron Lance) if he marries.
Overall, Lachesis is a hybrid support unit who turns into a top-tier fighter with enough effort.
Fire Emblem Awakening
Role
Lachesis, known in Awakening as Raquesis, is playable as a SpotPass character, released in the Genealogy of the Holy War first-generation character set. She is also present as an enemy in the first and third installments of the Lost Bloodlines DLC series, and as a NPC in Lost Bloodlines 2.

Fire Emblem Heroes
Role
There are two different variations of Lachesis available to Heroes, both of which are tied to her storyline appearance in Genealogy of the Holy War. The normal variation of Lachesis is one of the characters added to the game in the Sibling Bonds update, and became available for summoning by players on February 27, 2017. A performance-themed variation of Lachesis was made available between the period of September 8, 2020 through October 8, 2020 as part of the summoning event surrounding the launch of the To Stay Dreaming update.
Lachesis is one of six characters whose appearance in the initial Choose Your Legends poll were given a name that contradicted a previously-existing officially localized English name (in this case, the name "Raquesis" granted in Awakening), and one of four whose contradiction still stood when the poll ended; Lachesis carried that contradiction into Heroes proper.

Personality and character
Lachesis is prideful, strong-willed and will not hesitate to make her objections to others known. Fiercely independent, she particularly objects to those who attempt to make decisions on her behalf. She holds her brother Eldigan in the utmost regard and respect, worries greatly about his safety, and uses him as a benchmark to compare the caliber of other people, particularly potential suitors; as far as she is concerned, nobody is as good as Eldigan.
Love growths and events
|
