The Ink Painting (Japanese: 虹の賢者の墨絵 Rainbow Sage's Ink Painting) is a scroll introduced in Fire Emblem Fates, existing outside the primary scroll hierarchy of Hoshido. The Ink Painting trades might for accuracy in comparison to the like-level Rabbit Spirit, and also acts as the scroll equivalent of the "Venge" weapons, doubling in might when a foe initiates combat; though this does come at the cost of the wielder being unable to follow-up attack and use does take its toll on the wielder.
The Japanese version of Fates names this item for the enigmatic Rainbow Sage; international versions, however, downplay this scroll's connection to any character.
