Ice Breath (Japanese: 氷のブレス Ice Breath) is a breath-type attack introduced in Fire Emblem: Mystery of the Emblem and appearing again only in the DS remake of its second book. In Mystery of the Emblem, Ice Breath is used by Divine Dragons in Book 1 and Ice Dragons in Book 2, both on the enemy side and while a Manakete is transformed into one of those forms with a Divinestone or Icestone; Divine Dragons in Book 2 use a different attack, Breath of Fog. New Mystery of the Emblem has Ice Breath wielded, at least as a distinct item, exclusively by enemy Ice Dragons; it is, however, a variant of the attack usable by Manaketes in the form of an Icestone's attack. Ice Breath dealt bonus damage to Fire Dragons in Mystery of the Emblem, a trait that was not carried over to the remake.
There are two variants of Ice Breath used in New Mystery of the Emblem. The only difference between the two is the range; one variant is melee-only in the same fashion as the Icestone, whereas the other has ranged capabilities in line with its original Mystery of the Emblem incarnation.
