High Priest (Japanese: ハイプリースト High Priest) is an advanced magical class which was introduced in Fire Emblem: Genealogy of the Holy War. It is present only in Genealogy and Thracia 776, acting as the promoted class for Priests of both genders in these games and a counterpart to the role of the Bishop in most other games. High Priests wield staves in both games, but their choice of offensive magic varies between the games: they wield the three forms of anima magic in Genealogy of the Holy War, and light magic in Thracia 776.

High Priests are competent healers with high magic and exceptional resistance, but are lacking in physical defense. Their offensive capabilities are passable with their high magic, but are crippled by having restricted access to offensive magic with their low weapon levels. They are further held back in Genealogy of the Holy War by their movement, tied with that of the General for the lowest of any advanced class, in a game with a strong focus on large maps and high movement.
