Hex

Hex (Japanese: 呪い Curse) is a skill introduced in Fire Emblem Awakening. A class skill belonging to Dark Mages, it reduces the avoiding abilities of all enemies adjacent to the user.
It returned in Fire Emblem Echoes: Shadows of Valentia as a passive skill linked to the Shadow Sword and Devil Axe, where it gives the user of the weapon bearing it a chance to damage themselves instead of their target as a result of their strike. However, it is negated by the Dread Fighter's Antihex ability. Technically speaking, this effect has existed in the series long before Echoes: Shadows of Valentia made it a formalized skill. Weapons with this effect have featured in many previous games, and first appeared in Fire Emblem: Shadow Dragon & the Blade of Light, the very first game in the Fire Emblem series, as an attribute of the Devil Axe and Devil Sword.
