Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance

Gurgurant (Japanese: グルグラント Gurgurant) is a regalia sword which appears only in Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance. It is the personal sword of the Mad King Ashnard, the game's primary antagonist.

History

The origins of Gurgurant are unknown, as is how it entered Ashnard's possession. Its first known use was in the year 626, at the conclusion of Ashnard's plan to emerge from obscurity and take the Daein throne, when he used it to slay his father and end the blood pact curse which had eradicated the rest of his family. Ashnard continued to wield the sword for the remainder of his life throughout the Mad King's War of 645-646, until his demise in his final duel with General Ike.
