Defense/Resistance Ideal is a four-tiered passive type A skill which debuted in Fire Emblem Heroes; the individual tiers of the skill are known as Def/Res Ideal 1, Def/Res Ideal 2, Def/Res Ideal 3, and Def/Res Ideal 4 in order from lowest to highest. Units with a Def/Res Ideal skill boost their Defense and Resistance during combat whenever its user has either full HP or any active bonuses on it; both stat boosts increase with the skill's tier, with the fourth tier offering an additional increase should both activation criteria be active at once.
