Grants Def +3. If unit is within 2 spaces of an ally, grants Atk/Def+3 to unit and allies within 2 spaces of unit during combat. At start of turn, if unit is adjacent to only beast or dragon allies or unit is not adjacent to any ally, unit transforms (otherwise, unit reverts). If unit transforms, grants Atk+2 and if unit initiates combat, inflicts Atk/Def-4 on foe during combat and foe cannot make a follow-up attack.

Covert Cat Fang (Japanese: 柔なる戦猫の爪牙 Gentle War Cat's Claws and Fangs) is a weapon skill in the beast category which debuted in Fire Emblem Heroes. It is a personal weapon of Ranulf. Covert Cat Fang is a skill that, in addition to boosting its wielder's Defense at all times, further boosts both the Attack and Defense of both the user and any allies within two spaces of the user during combat provided there are allies within two spaces of the user.

At start of user's phase, transforms user if user is untransformed and not adjacent to a human ally, or untransforms user if user is transformed and adjacent to a human ally. On a turn where user transforms, user's Attack is boosted by an additional +2 and, if user initiates combat, reduces target's Attack and Defense by -4 each during combat and target cannot make a follow-up strike.
