Alert Stance

|
Alert Stance (Japanese: 警戒姿勢 Vigilance Stance) is an ability which debuted in Fire Emblem: Three Houses. It is learned by increasing a unit's skill level in flying. It grants the unit a significant boost in avoid if they end their turn with no action. As the user's skill level increases, the ability is later replaced with a higher-level version of the ability called Alert Stance+.
In Fire Emblem Heroes, its name is translated as Guard Bearing. In this game, it is a three-tiered passive type B skill; the individual tiers of the skill are known as Guard Bearing 1, Guard Bearing 2, and Guard Bearing 3 in order from lowest to highest. Units with a Guard Bearing skill can reduce the damage dealt by the first strike the user faces on the opposing phase.
