Chrom has returned to the space between Outrealms, where Old Hubba greets him and reveals him to have impeccable timing, to which Chrom states he doesn't like the sound of; Old Hubba states that his news is good news, that all of the Einherjar the Shepherds have defeated have gathered in one place, and once the Shepherds defeat them this time, he can finally seal them back into their cards, to which Chrom states actually is good news. Old Hubba reveals there is one tiny little catch--he forgot to get the Shepherds allies, so both armies will be after the Shepherds; Old Hubba then wishes Chrom good luck, to which Chrom realizes Old Hubba's bad news. Preparations take place as it is revealed that the chapter's main setting is the Jugdral-based Outrealm in a summer season setup.
Chrom and the Shepherds arrive in the same Outrealm as in Lost Bloodlines 1 and 2 and again encounter Old Hubba. Hubba informs the Shepherds that the Einherjar they have defeated previously are all in one army and are ready to be returned to their cards, but he has not gained allies for the Shepherds like before. The Archanean–Jugdrali army notices the Shepherds and begins to battle them. After battle, Chrom is relieved that the Einherjar in this Outrealm have finally been stopped, and Robin gives Chrom an Einherjar they found—Seliph.

Over at Evans Castle, Ced tells King Marth that enemy reinforcements have arrived in the northeast and southeast, to which King Marth asks how they did not see them approach; Ced reveals that the enemy didn't exactly approach, but were seemingly summoned from another world, to which King Marth asks if [Jugdral] will never know peace. Ced states that their group is ready for the Shepherds, their forces over at Yngvi Castle and on the eastern plain will crush them, to which King Marth states to commence the attack--they cannot stand idly by whilst the enemy summons even more of their kind. A number of reinforcements arrive over at Yngvi Castle, with Finn telling Leif that there are enemy soldiers to the north, to which Leif realizes is the otherworldly force they were warned about; from what they have heard, the Shepherds are strong, yet are no match for the famed heroes they count among their allies--his father, Seliph, Sigurd, and even King Marth. Finn tells Leif not to be too humble to name himself, but also states that their victory is assured. Chrom notices it appears that the Shepherds will be busy, to which Robin says he/she liked them better when they were on their side; Chrom states that their victory will win peace for at least this Outrealm--it will be difficult, but they must prevail, to which the Avatar states that the enemy armies are thinking the same thing. Chrom tells the Avatar he likes it no better than him/her, but they have no other choice, that they have to finish it. The battle begins at this point.

After the first player phase, Leif tells Sigurd that King Marth's forces are taking the offensive, to which Sigurd states that King Marth means to trap the enemy between their split forces; Leif states that there is no time to lose, to which Sigurd reveals that this is not a typical foe they face, and they must cling fast to caution. Over on the eastern plain, Caeda tells Deirdre that the force that appeared ahead of them is hostile and she's certain of it, to which Deirdre states they've arrived at last and asks if the bloodshed will never end; Caeda tells Deirdre she mustn't waver now, that they should be the strength behind her conviction. Caeda states peace will come in its time--today, they must defeat the enemy before them, to which Deirdre says she's right, thanking Caeda and saying she trusts in her strength. Back over at Evans Castle, Seliph states that it was the enemy's choice to invade and their duty to defend the land; these should be simple facts, yet Seliph appears to doubt himself.

Once the chapter ends, Chrom will note that the conflict is finally over, thanking the gods, revealing that there were so many Einherjar; Frederick states that it was no easy fight, but asks what battle is. Chrom states he hopes the Shepherds brought a measure of peace, the grasses in the area have seen enough red, to which Frederick states he could not agree more. The Avatar asks Chrom to look at what he/she found, to which Chrom notes is another Einherjar card--"Seliph, Scion of Light"; Chrom reveals that Seliph figured prominently in the Jugdrali sagas, that he was the one that ended the strife that plagued the continent for decades, noting they've found a real treasure.

Back in the space between Outrealms, a conversation will then ensue between Seliph and the player, with the choices the player makes affecting what Seliph says next. At the end of the conversation, the player will then be given an offer to add Seliph to their active roster, which they can either accept or decline. Afterward, the game gives the player a skill book that teaches the Paragon skill.
