Not to be confused with the dark magic from other games in the series.

Black magic (Japanese: 黒魔法 Black magic) is a weapon type in the Fire Emblem series appearing in Fire Emblem Gaiden, its remake Fire Emblem Echoes: Shadows of Valentia, and Fire Emblem: Three Houses. It is comprised of the games' offensive spells. Spells not exclusive to these games appear as other types of magic in other games in the series. Despite the name, two black magic spells appear in other games of the series as light magic tomes. Along with white magic, black magic makes up the broader magic weapon type in the original NES release, but it is split from it in the remake.

In Three Houses, black magic has a subcategory of dark magic.
