Arcfire (Japanese: ギガファイアー Gigafire) is a potent fire tome which debuted in Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn and is present only in it and Awakening. As a counterpart to Arcwind, Arcthunder and Shine, it acts as the game's third "stage" of fire magic, superior to Fire and Elfire and surpassed in turn by Bolganone.

Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS and Wii U
This article or section is a short summary of Arcfire. SmashWiki features a more in-depth article. |
Arcfire is Robin's side special move in Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS and Wii U. Described by director Masahiro Sakurai as "[calling] down a bolt of flame from above, then [launching] a pillar of fire".[1] Arcfire is also used as a finisher for Robin's neutral attack if the player doesn't keep pressing the attack button during it, finishing the combo with an explosion.
Like all of Robin's weapons, Arcfire – both as a side special move and as part of Robin's neutral attack – is governed by an emulation of the Fire Emblem durability system. It begins a match with 6 durability points, which are subtracted from until it runs out, at which point Arcfire "breaks" and must be left to recharge for 10 seconds before it can be used again, during which the move will fail if the player attempts to use it. Each use of Arcfire, whether it be the side special or the neutral attack, consumes one durability point.
As with all special moves in Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS and Wii U (aside from those used by DLC characters), Arcfire has two alternate variations which can be applied to Robin as customization options. These moves are found at random and collected during the course of the game's other modes, such as Classic Mode and Smash Run. The standard variant of Arcfire functions very similarly to Ness's PK Fire move, with its variant Arcfire+ functioning similarly to Lucas's PK Fire.
- Arcfire+ (Japanese: エクスプロージョン Explosion) is slower to cast, but in exchange deals a single, large and powerful explosion.
- Fire Wall (Japanese: ファイアーウォール Firewall) casts a tall pillar of flame which is useful for guarding against incoming attacks.
