Role

Lyn's story

Several months after the death of her parents, Lyn finds a tactician lying on the ground, who influences her to start training in her sword skills. Lyn and the tactician go to resupply in a nearby town, and afterward get attacked by Zugu and his mercenaries. With the aid of two knights of Caelin, Sain and Kent, they defeat Zugu. Sain and Kent tell her that she is the granddaughter of Lord Hausen, the Marquess of Caelin, who wants her to visit him. Lyn agrees and the group starts their journey to Caelin.

They decide to stop and pray for a good journey at a nearby shrine, but the shrine is attacked by a band of mercenaries led by Glass. After defeating them, Lyn is rewarded by being allowed to touch the Matti Katti, the sword that rests in the shrine. After touching it, Lyn figures out that she is the only one that can draw it. The priest at the shrine lets her do so, and with new sword in hand, Lyn and her group continue their journey.
