Duke Knight is one of several classes that can be found in the FES.
The Duke Knight (デュークナイト, Dyuuku Naito) class is a lance-using horseback class that appears in FE4 and FE5. In both games, it is the promoted form of the Lance Knight class. They are absent in FE10, in which the Lance Knight class and its alternate weapon counterparts appear with their own promoted classes; the Duke Knight class is replaced with the Lance Paladin class.

Duke knights are strong and useful units. They have high HP and strength, and otherwise very balanced stats. Their high movement can be very useful, and they can move again if they have not moved the full amount of spaces they can in one turn. In Thracia 776, they can dismount for several purposes, such as entering buildings or avoiding weapons effective against horseback units, using swords when dismounted. They have quite low resistance, which makes them slightly vulnerable to magic attacks.
