|“||I've also been training my sword skills, and I've won at many arenas around the continent. You don't have to go easy on me!||”|
— Fir to Rutoga in a support conversation.
Fir is a confident and determined myrmidon from Sacae, the daughter of Bartre and Karla, and the niece of Karel. She travels the world after her mother's death to master the sword, and eventually joins Roy's army.
After the death of Fir's mother Karla, who died of an illness, Fir set out to travel the world in order to hone her skills in swordfighting. She later ends up arriving in an arena in Ostia, where she meets the Ilian cavalier Noah. He coaches Fir on the rules of the arena, such as picking an opponent and knowing when to surrender a fight, and they both end up becoming good friends. Afterwards, Fir continues her travels to the Western Isles, where her parents first met. However, during her stay there, Roy's army arrives at the town to drive off the bandits terrorizing the area, the leader being Scott, who had apparently treated Fir kindly. When the army defeats most of the bandits, Scott tells Fir that the Western Isles is under attack by a group of brigands (Who are actually the army), and that he needs her and the nomad Sin to drive them off. Fir agrees to contribute, but it turns out she was deceived; the only reason Scott treated her so nicely was so that he could steal the rare katana Wo Dao from her for gold. So he sends out one of his goons to stay nearby her to take her sword once she dies. However, in the midst of the conflict, Fir reunites with Noah, but she angrily attacks him, as she believes that Noah is working with the bandits attacking the town. He then explains to her how the situation as she sees it is the other way around, and that Roy's army is, in fact, the one fighting the brigand forces (Upon hearing this, the bandit hiding close to Fir retreats). Afterwards, Noah invites her into the army, and Fir joins.
Later, during the siege of Castle Idina located on the Caldonia island (If the player chooses route B on the Western Isles), Fir can talk to her father, Bartre, who appears on the battlefield along with two other fighters. Bartre tells her that he was worried about her and looked everywhere for her, and now that he has, he says that he would assist Fir on her journey. Although a little reluctant at first, Fir agrees to have him join.
After the war finally ended, Fir continued to travel around the world, training herself in mastering the sword. As a result of her travelling, her name and legacy as a great swordmaster reached the recognition of many across Elibe. In addition to that, Fir's legends were also passed down in history as the Sword Saint, a title originally granted by Guy and Karel.

Personality and character
Fir is a very confident and determined swordfighter, and she longs to master her skills with the blade by travelling across the continent of Elibe. She would often try to get other fighters to spar with her, including Noah and Rutoga, although sometimes to no avail, particularly in Rutoga's case. Fir claims that she wants to master swordfighting like her mother Karla, the famous Sword Princess, did, before she had died from an illness. However, her father Bartre also theorizes that one of the main reasons she took up swordfighting was to get her mind off her mother's death Like her mother did, she had won many battles in arenas across the continent, which was exactly what Karla was famous for. As a result of Karla's influence on Fir's swordsmanship, Fir longs to learn "the way of the sword," as seen in her support conversations with her uncle Karel, who is widely known as the Sword Saint, and formerly, the Sword Demon. In response, Karel tells her that the path is not something that can be taught, and also that she must "cut open" the path herself. After the war, her efforts pay off, and Fir turns out to be an incredible swordfighter. She also ended up inheriting the title of the Sword Saint, a title that was originally granted to Guy and Karel.
Although Fir is clearly skilled with the blade, outside of battle, she does seem to be a little nervous whenever she socializes with other people. For an example, back at the Western Isles, when Fir is sent out to kill the "pirates" invading the town, she is accompanied by Sin, and she tries to hold up a conversation with him. However, she seems somewhat nervous at the time, especially when Sin claims that he couldn't care less for the well being of the civilians of the Western Isles, and that he is just in it for the money. In addition to that, as well as Noah fell in love with Fir at first sight, she appears to be interested in him as well. As a result, she becomes quite overwrought whenever she talks or is around him. This even has an effect on her fighting, as shown when she loses her focus and trips when she spars with Noah in their support conversations.

- "Fir: Thank you for coaching me, Sir Noah.
Noah: No problem. But I must say you surprised me. You suddenly came up to me and said, "I want to fight a match with you!"
Fir: I-I'm sorry, Sir Noah. It was my first time in the arena…
Noah: If you asked another person, you would have been killed. You need to look your opponent over very carefully before choosing to fight.
Fir: And you must not hesitate to surrender if it looks like you're going to lose. Right?
Noah: Exactly. You can always win back your money, but if you lose your life, it's all over.
Fir: Yes!" - Fir and Noah in Chapter 7, Fire Emblem: The Binding Blade
- "Noah: All you were saying at first was, "I want to become strong, I want to become strong," right? So I thought swordplay was all you had interest in. But you were training because you wanted to be like your mother? I'm so happy that you do have a cute side!
Fir: What?... Sir Noah! Please don't tease me!
Noah: Hahahaha!" - Noah and Fir in Chapter 7, Fire Emblem: The Binding Blade
- "Noah: What are you thinking?! Put away your sword!
Fir: Sir Noah! I thought you were nobler than this!
Fir: Just because you're a mercenary knight… Lending your service to pirates?! You should be ashamed!
Noah: … Huh?
Fir: Don't play dumb! You're working with a band of pirates to attack the people living on this island! And you call yourself a knight?!
Noah: Um, can I have a sec? I think there's a really big misunderstanding…" - Noah and Fir in Chapter 9, Fire Emblem: The Binding Blade
- "Fir: … I was lending my service to pirates… What can I do now?
Noah: Then you want to come along with us?
Fir: What? Would it be okay?
Noah: We're always looking for more people to strengthen our army. I'll talk to Roy about it.
Fir: Thank you!" - Fir and Noah in Chapter 9, Fire Emblem: The Binding Blade
- "Fir: But Father, if you kept helping me, there would be no point to my training.
Bartre: Nonsense. Would you not be able to train your sword skills with your father around? Or do you not understand your Father's love for worrying about you like this?
Fir: No! That's not it…
Bartre: Well then, we understand each other. But first we must capture that castle.
Fir: Sigh… I have to tell Roy that we're getting another member…" - Fir and Bartre in 11B, Fire Emblem: The Binding Blade
- "Rutoga: … When I swing my sword, I do so to kill people. I have no interest in using my sword for play.
Fir: ! Play!? W-Wait…! ... He thought I was playing around with my sword? I wanted to learn from him because his blade is so sharp and has no hesitation at all…" - Rutoga and Fir's C support, Fire Emblem: The Binding Blade
- "Karel: One thing I'm worried about is Fir. She lost her mother at such a young age…
Bartre: Yes… Maybe… Maybe the reason she left home to train herself was that she wanted to get her mind off of her mother's death.
Karel: Training? So Fir was travelling around the continent?
Bartre: Yes. She said she wanted to become a great swordmaster like her mother." - Karel and Bartre's C support, Fire Emblem: The Binding Blade
- "Fir: I've also been training my sword skills, and I've won at many arenas around the continent. You don't have to go easy on me!" - Fir and Rutoga's C support, Fire Emblem: The Binding Blade
- "Karel: But, Fir. You are not your mother, nor are you me. The path which you seek does not lie behind us. It lies in front of you. It is you who must cut open the path for yourself.
Fir: In front… of me?
Karel: That isn't something that can be taught. It is something which you must discover on your own.
Fir: … Yes. Thank you, Uncle!" - Karel and Fir's A support, Fire Emblem: The Binding Blade
- "Fir: Um…
Fir: Um, did you also join the fight to protect the people living here?
Sin: No… I have no interest in such things.
Fir: Then why?
Sin: I'm paid to fight. That's all.
Fir: … I gotta keep the conversation going.
Fir: Um… you're from Sacae, right?
Fir: What took you all the way out here?
Sin: It's nothing new. You look like you're from Sacae, and you're also here.
Fir: Well, I'm travelling Elibe to train myself, and… Oh, you weren't asking about me, were you…
Fir: … Whew." - Fir and Sin in Chapter 9, Fire Emblem: The Binding Blade
- "Noah: Hello, Fir.
Fir: S-Sir Noah…
Noah: ? Are you okay? You should tell me if you're not feeling well…
Fir: I-I'm fine.
Noah: You look like you have a fever…
Fir: I-It's nothing!
Noah: But… Your face looks red." - Noah and Fir's B support, Fire Emblem: The Binding Blade
- "Fir: I would truly appreciate it if you would train me for a while.
Noah: Well, if you say so. It's fine with me.
Fir: Really? Thank you! Let's start now then… Wha-!?
Noah: Whoa! Are you okay?
Fir: Y-Yes! I'm sorry! I'll get away now…
Noah: It's not like you to trip like that. Are you hurt? Let me see your knee…
Fir: N-No! I'm… f-fine! We must get on with the duel!
Noah: Are you really okay? You don't seem quite… well.
Fir: W-We fight!" - Fir and Noah's C support, Fire Emblem: The Binding Blade
